El Campo Aquatic Center

Aquatic Center Features
The Rotary Club of El Campo began a project in 1999 to design and build the El Campo Aquatic Center to replace the 50-year-old American Legion pool. It was designed to be a family oriented venue for recreation, swim lessons, parties, exercise, therapy and competitive swimming. The Rotary Club Pool Committee was successful in soliciting funds for the project through various grant applications and donations, as well as participation by the City of El Campo, El Campo ISD and Wharton County.

The final result was a $1.9 million facility, located on El Campo ISD property at 2613 Blossom Meyer, with 3 heated pools, including an 8-lane x 25 yard competition pool, a recreational or leisure area with a 85 linear foot slide, water mushroom, lily pads and other features, and a large 20-person hot tub. The facility opened in January 2005 and is being operated by the City.

The El Campo Aquatic Center is the home pool for the El Campo Red Wave swim team, the El Campo Hi
